The family regrets to announce the passing of Lucille Gallien (née Forest) in North Bay on June 4, 2025, at the age of 97. Born in Verner, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Donat and Maria (née Corriveau) Forest.

Lucille was the beloved wife of the late Alban Gallien and a devoted mother to Jean (Katherine), Roch (Linda Lacroix), and Pier-Luce Gallien-Dobbs (John). She was a cherished grandmother to Mikaelle, Min Soo, and Anya.

She is survived by her loving siblings Joseph Forest (late Jeannette) and Agnès Noël (late Léonard), and was predeceased by Gabriel, Evelyne, Noëlla, Normand, and Reina. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins who were dear to her heart.

A woman of peace and creativity, Lucille loved flowers, animals, painting, and writing. She retired at 56 but remained a lifelong educator and mentor to her family. Her kind spirit and inspiring resilience will never be forgotten.

The family will receive relatives and friends at St-Jean Baptiste Church, Verner on Wednesday, June 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Théorêt-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St-Jean Baptiste Church, Verner would be appreciated.
