GARROW, David Garrow

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David A Garrow, age 67, on December 28, 2025. He died peacefully at Glen Hill Strathaven Long Term Care Home in Bowmanville.

Born in Oshawa, Ontario, on May 4, 1958, Dave spent his career working at General Motors, where he was known for his strong work ethic. After many dedicated years, he retired and spent many weekends at the cottage where he loved the quiet beauty of Lake Mitchell.

David leaves behind his beloved wife, Marian, of 21 years. He is the son of Carol and the late Dave Garrow. He is survived by his twin brother Dan Garrow (Barb) and his other siblings Michael Garrow, Christine Taylor, and Peter Garrow. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews.

David was a man of quiet generosity and enduring curiosity. He loved watching the news, admiring classic cars, attending NASCAR races, fishing with his long-time friends, and exploring the local country roads alongside his Tim Hortons coffee.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to all of the caring staff at Glen Hill Strathaven.

His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 9th from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm at De Stefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa, Ontario. Interment will take place at approximately 1:30 pm at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s honour may be made to support the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Organization or the PSP Society of Canada.
