BEATTIE, Gary E. Beattie  –

December 17, 1943 – February 18, 2024

Son of Ethel and Walter, Brother to Gail Scott (Alex), Brian Beattie (Odette) and Ron Beattie.

Son in-law to Art and Rene Jeffery.

Loving husband to Anne Marie for 55 years.

Loving dad to Melissa (James), loving dad to Jeffery (Leizel).

Loving Grandpa to Michael.

Gary had a very long journey with P.D & Dementia- 16 years, he never complained.

He worked for GM & EDS and ended his career at the D.R.C in Flint Michigan, where he spent 11 wonderful years entertaining family and friends year round. We were also a short drive from Mackinac Island.

The stays there with Best Friends, Ed & Nelli Purdy and my brother Bill and his wife Helen were the best!!We did Gary’s Bucket List after his diagnosis- cruising was the way.

Fairview Lodge was his final home and believe me, it was HOME.

I could never ask for a better group of people to look after a loved one.

Celebration of Gary’s Life on February 24th, 2024 2pm – 4pm, Parkview Place – 25 John St W. Oshawa.
