Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Twin Lakes Terrace Nursing Home, Franklyn Gates passed away at the age of 95. Beloved husband of the late Betty Gates (1993). Loving father of Donald (Don) Kenneth, Brian (late Tom) Raymond, and Alan (Al) (Margaret) Bruce. Cherished grandfather of Sarah (Brandon) Liwanpo (Gates) and Melissa (Tyler) Burdett (Gates). Predeceased by his father Gordon Victor Gates (1968) and mother Florence Gertrude Gates (nee Jackson) (1987), infant sister, and beloved friend Eileen Boudreau (2018). An interment will held at St. Thomas Cemetery on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to a charity of your choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
