GAUDETTE, William Bill Gaudette

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bill at the Sault Area Hospital on Friday, August 29, 2025 at the age of 71. He was a devoted and loving husband to his soul mate, Margaret, for 40 years. He will be sadly missed by his pride and joys, his sons Corey and Shane (Roxanne). Loving grandpa of Brayden, Maren, Olivia and the newest addition, Hudson. Loving and caring brother of David (Joyce), Paul, Paulette (Dave), Timmy and the late Glen John. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and extended family. Bill had many friends with whom he stayed in touch with from when he was a teen.

Bill’s passion was being a hockey coach and will be remembered for his total commitment to all players and his unique way of teaching. He loved spending many years fishing and camping with his friends and family, and he always had to have music involved in anything he did. Gardening became a passion for him when he retired, and he loved to give his rewards to his family and friends. He was always a very generous man.

Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Memorial donations to Soo Hockey Partners with Hockey Canada Foundation Assist Fund, Tracy’s Dream or the SAH Cancer Care Fund.

We would like to thank Doctors Rossouli and the amazing nurses in the SAH Cancer Unit and Chemo suite. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Thibodeau and the caring nurses and staff in radiation as well as the nurses and Doctors at the SAH.
