It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of June Rose DeClerck-Gaudreau (née Duff), in her 90th year, on June 18, 2025. Born in Walford, June was a beloved mother, grandma, Gram Grams and great-grandma. She is predeceased by her first husband Paul DeClerck and survived by her husband Jean Marie Gaudreau.

June is survived by her five children: Terry Snider (Claudette), Julie Snider, Rose-Marie DeClerck-Floate (Kevin), Ben DeClerck (Ruth), and Paul DeClerck (Stephanie); her cherished grandchildren Nicole Wade (Jeff), Helena Snider (Wendall), Josh DeClerck (Mindy), Joseph Snider (Ali), Mark Snider (Ivanna), Sierra, and Brooklyn; and great-grandchildren Collin, Pierce, Parker, Lily and Violet.

A dedicated educator, June taught at Spanish Public School from 1975 to 2001. Beyond teaching, she worked at Vance’s Camp, made candy and wedding cakes, and later became a bookkeeper. June was a nurturing spirit with a deep love for her family, flowers—especially roses—and her faith.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate June’s life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Walford Catholic Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the Walford Community Centre.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church or the Heart & Stroke Foundation in June’s memory.
