Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 07, 2026 at Heritage House, St. Jacobs, at the age of 82.

Beloved wife of Rev. Walter Gawa.
Loving mother of Jeannine Peterson and Sarena Gawa.
Dear sister of Linda Miller.
Predeceased by her parents Nellie and Clint Hoare.

Carol was a gifted musician. She served her church community for years as a devoted organist, pianist, and soloist, sharing a talent that lifted the spirits of all who heard her. Her creativity extended into her vibrant artificial flower arrangements, which became a beloved staple at local markets. Carol was an exceptional administrator in the healthcare field for many years.

Carol’s family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00AM – 9:45AM on Friday, March 13, 2026 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home, immediately following, at 10:00AM. Interment at Bridgeport Cemetery, Kitchener.
