HOGG, George Stephen   – 

December 10, 1931 – March 30, 2024

To George, World War II was a childhood adventure, and the Ford Trade School set him on the path to become a mechanical engineer.

Emigrating from the UK to Canada, he built a new life by marrying Jo Ann and raising a family.

A natural athlete George enjoyed soccer, tennis and early morning runs before heading off to work at Northern Electric/ Northern Telecom for 30 years.

Retirement allowed him to cultivate his interest in gardening, learn to use a computer, and continue to be an avid reader.

George was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Catherine; siblings, Ted, Ken, Rene Dixon, Doris Woods and son, Neville.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann; children, Carolyn, Melissa (Jeffrey Cunningham), and Trevor; sister, Vera Lockyer; sisters-in-law, Felicity Hogg and Nancy Oland and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 12th at 11 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Parish, 1290 McBride Ave., Mississauga. Reception to follow at the church.
