BRYAN, George ‘Pete’ – Retired Indian Affairs and Northern Development-Lands Div Former member Sage Kiwanis – Born in Kars Ontario on December 15, 1924. George ‘Pete’ passed away suddenly in Perth on October 5, 2015 at the age of 90.
He now joins his beloved wife Audrey (nee Taylor) in the arms of the Lord. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Florence Bryan of Kars.
His incredible sense of humour and gentle nature will be greatly missed by his daughters Carol Feiner (John) and Barbara Grimshaw (Paul), grandchildren, Adam, David (Erin), Ashley (Fabian) and great-grandchildren Jude and Miriam.
He will also be greatly missed by his special friend Kay Carleton of Lanark.
George had many and varied interests, including music, history and especially politics. He was a storyteller and keeper of Kars village folk history but most of all had an abiding love for his family.
Family and friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Homes – Carling Chapel, 2313 Carling Ave., Ottawa, Ontario on Tuesday, October 13th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service, Wednesday, October 14th in the Chapel at 11 a.m., followed by burial. A reception will follow.
In memoriam donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association and/or in honour of George, a vote for change October 19th.
