GEORGE, Wanda Gail George

She died peacefully in her sleep on January 18, 2026, leaving a space that feels impossibly large without her and forever marked by her humour, resolve, and warmth. Wanda, born July 18, 1952, never did anything the standard way, including the business of living and loving. Her home was a landing pad for her children, a place they could always return to when the “great big world” became more tiring than exciting.

She is deeply loved and held by family and friends close to her. Her dog Izzie will miss all their small daily rituals together. Wanda was predeceased by her daughters Abby and Penny and by her sister Nancy and Rob, losses that deepened her tenderness and the way she held on to those she loved.

Wanda loved quilting, gardening and crafting like other people love stories, working comfort, memory, and a bit of mischief into every piece. She often shared stories from her senior’s group, where laughter, and good gossip were part of the routine. She continues to live on through Kayleb, Brandy, and Caprice, in the teachings, love, respect, and steadfast resilience she passed on to them. Wanda Gail – much respect.
