BUSHELL, Gerald ‘Gerry’ – Passed away on Saturday, October 10th, 2015.

After enjoying breakfast early Sunday morning, Gerald “Gerry” Alexander Bushell passed away quietly and without warning while watching the sun rise over the garden.

Gerry was a talented draftsman who took pleasure in designing many of the homes built in the Cavan/Millbrook area over the last 30 years.

Husband to Rosemary, father to Alex and the late Jennifer, sister to Diane Berlet (Ron), Sally Burkett (Kevin) and brother to Steve (Pam).

Arrangements entrusted with Benson funeral home, 35 King Street West, Millbrook, Ontario.  Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th at 12p.m. in St. Thomas More Church , 28 King St. W, Millbrook, Ontario with a funeral at 1p.m., followed by interment in St. John’s Ida Cemetery. Lunch and refreshments will be served at the Legion (just down the street) shortly after.

Gerry was very passionate about saving Needler’s Mill, the last structure of its kind in Millbrook. Currently under threat of demolition, the family is asking that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to help save the mill. Information can be found at www.savethedammill.com.
