Born on May 26, 1952 in Stouffville, Ontario, Neil Gibson passed away peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the age of 72.

Predeceased by his loving parents, James and Francis Gibson, Neil will be deeply missed by his sister and brother-in-law, Marie (née Gibson) and Joe Zaal. He was a cherished uncle to Justin and Tracy Durham, Richard and Crystal Zaal, and JoAnn Zaal, and a much-loved great-uncle to Wesley Zealand, Cameron Durham, Kaleb Evanoff, Jade Evanoff, Ruby Zaal, Ryker Zaal, and the late Wilson Zealand.

Neil dedicated more than 30 years of service to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital and was a proud member of the Uxbridge Legion for over 40 years. Known for his big heart, kind words, and warm presence, Neil left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

He found great joy in fishing and was a familiar sight around town on his three-wheeled bike. An avid traveler, Neil explored much of Canada and the U.S., creating memories with those he loved.

Visitation will be held at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge, on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Sunday, April 6 at 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 170, 109 Franklin Street, Uxbridge.
