GIGANTE, Jacqueline Jackie Sabine nee Gigante

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Jackie Sabine who left us on Friday, August 29th, 2025 at the age of 78, with her loving family surrounded by her side. Survived by her devoted husband Douglas “Butch” Sabine and daughters Tracy (Liz Beazizo) and Andrea (Randy Nesbit). Adored Nana to Ryan, Roan, Marcus, Toby and Robin. Cherished sisters Fran (the late Buzz) Bruzzese and Amanda (Richard) Rowe, sister cousins to Connie (Craig) Davidson and Jackie (the late Larry) Harmon. Sister-in-law Marg “Pugs” Cartier (the late Lou Dupuis). Brother-in-law Gary Dzierzawski. She will be deeply missed by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased in death by her parents Joseph and Rollande Gigante, sisters Linda Dzierzawski and Gislaine (the late Jim) Peters. Sister-in-law Donna (Willie) Iorio, Marilyn Sabine and brother-in-law Jim Sabine.

Graduated from Denby HS in Detroit, Michigan and went onto work as a bookkeeper for Beneficial Finance and then the Detroit Windsor Money Exchange and was a caregiver to the Tyler boys.

Her greatest joy was being on the sidelines, never missing an opportunity to support her grandsons, whether on the field, on the ice with a reserved spot at the glass or at any of their activities. Her encouragement, love and support meant the world to them. Nana was their biggest fan.
Mom will be remembered for her contagious laughter, once coined “Giggles” Gigante by her bowling league. She loved bowling, golfing, watching old movies and game shows, spending time with friends and family, but most of all spending time laughing and joking with her grandsons.
She was a devoted friend to all and in her last best days enjoyed spending time with her longtime friends Carol and Wayne Tyler, and her breakfast buddies.
The Sabine family would like to extend a sincere heartfelt thank you to the family that donated their loved ones kidney to prolong Jackie’s life, they are extremely grateful for the extra time they had. Also, the family would like to extend a thank you to the Nurses at Windsor Regional Hospital – Ouellette Campus and staff at Huron Lodge Nursing Home for their care and compassion shown to Jackie.
