GILBERT , Ernest William “Ernie” Gilbert

Peacefully, at Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton on Saturday August 2, 2025, formerly of R #2 Paris, in his 73rd year.

Ernie was very involved with the Brant County Jr. Farmers, enjoyed hunting, was a longtime baseball coach of his boys’ teams, and a proud member of the Paris Curling Club.

Beloved husband to Donna (née Whitteker); loved dad to Michael (Stacey), Adam, and Jason (Stephanie); cherished grandpa to Lauren, Nathan, Zephy, Meishka, Cypris, Luca, Hunter, and Carter. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Millie.

Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris on Thursday August 7, 2025, from 7–9 PM. A private family service will be held in the funeral home chapel. Cremation followed by interment at Paris Cemetery.
