After a brief but courageous battle with cancer, Danoris passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa, surrounded by her loving family. She was 48 years old.

Danoris was the beloved, adored, and cherished wife of Ian for 21 wonderful years. She was a devoted and caring mother to Eva and Emma, whom she loved beyond measure. She was the treasured daughter of Maria Teresa and the late Juan Pando, and the beloved twin sister of Daniel. Danoris was predeceased by her dear grandmother, Hortensia, who held a special place in her heart.

She will be profoundly missed by her in-laws, Dr. Mike Mitchell-Gill and Wendy, Kevin and Dayna, Jason and Kelly, and their families as well as by her extended family and many friends.

To Danoris, family was everything. She cherished every moment spent with Ian and her daughters, they loved planning family trips and adventures together. She found great joy in sunny days, beach outings, and exploring international cuisine. Danoris also had a deep, if often humorous, affection for her “ungrateful” but much-loved French Bulldog, Tiger.

Professionally, Danoris was a highly dedicated and exceptionally skilled law clerk. She was admired for her efficiency, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to excellence. She truly loved her work, her teams, her clients, and the supportive environments she helped create.

In her neighborhood, Danoris was known for her warmth and generosity. She looked out for others, knew all her neighbors by name, and formed meaningful connections wherever she went. Thoughtful, kind, and outgoing, Danoris had a gift for making friends and was always smiling, laughing, and radiating love.

Danoris leaves behind a legacy of compassion, joy, and resilience. She touched the lives of all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
