GILL, Stephen Miles Gill

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stephen Miles Gill, who left us on May 6, 2025, at the age of 56.

Stephen was born on July 21, 1968, and lived a life filled with passion, loyalty, and a deep love for his family and friends. He proudly served in the US Navy, a chapter of his life that brought him great pride and lifelong friendships.

After the loss of our beloved mother, Sharon Marie Gill, in 1990, Stephen made the decision to leave the military and eventually returned home to Brantford, Ontario after spending some time in Florida.

Stephen had a love for working on dirt bikes and cars and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. But like many, he also faced personal battles. There were hardships he carried that became too heavy, and he struggled with addiction. Though he fought with strength and overcame it for a time, addiction resurfaced and showed him no mercy.

Despite his struggles, Stephen remained a brother full of love, heart, and a spirit that will never be forgotten. He now rests peacefully with our parents, Sharon Marie Gill (March 21, 1990) and Percy Stephen Gill (September 30, 2023).

Stephen is survived by his loving sister, Krista Marie Gill, and his nephews Michael, and Gabe (Talia) Stone and their son Nash, and nephew Elijah and his niece Jordynn. His memory will live on through each of us, in the stories we share and the love we carry forward.

A private family gathering will be held to honor Stephen’s life.
