As the sun was rising the songbirds were singing. It is with a heavy heart to announce that Lorraine Pauline Glover passed away peacefully that faithful morning of June 7th, 2025. A heart of gold with a heavenly touch, Lorraine was a magnet of love for her family and friends.

Lorraine, the second oldest of six children, was born on May 18, 1963, in Ireland to her parents, Doreen and William McGuirk. Her playground was in the streets of Artane, and Dublin was written in her heart when she immigrated to Canada in 1984.

Lorraine loved the true north through a Canadian who was strong and free, David James Glover. A single soul inhabiting two bodies, Lorraine and Dave were married for 36 years. They had three children: Joshua, David, and Ebony, and they became the cherished grandparents to Hunter and Mason.

Lorraine’s family was her masterpiece, and language cannot express the power, beauty, and heroism, of Lorraine’s love for her family. Her song has ended, but her melody lives on.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gertrude’s Church, 690 King St E, Oshawa, with a reception to follow in the church hall at 12:00 p.m.
