GOGOLIN, Karen Denine Gogolin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Karen (Deana) Denine Gogolin on December 29, 2025, in the comfort of our her home at the age of 59, after a brave, two-year fight with Pancreatic cancer.

Forever remembered by her son Mitchell Gogolin (Cass) and grandson Sawyer; mother Sylvia Pollett (Ron Robinson) and father Albert Pollett (Kimberly); siblings Lisa Pollett, Shawn Pollett (Mary), Danielle Jackson (Shane) and Jesse Pollett (Hailey); dear friend and father of Mitchell, Kevin Gogolin (Kimberly), and she is survived by several loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and a large number of extended family and friends.

Deana’s greatest joys and proudest accomplishments were her beloved son, Mitchell, and her precious grandson, Sawyer. With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to an extraordinary woman who touched so many lives.

Anyone who knew Deana knew her kindness was boundless, which was evident in her 35 year career as a Registered Nurse. She was caring, forgiving, and lived by the simple yet powerful belief: β€œTreat people how you want to be treated.” Her infectious smile and unwavering compassion left an imprint on everyone she met. Deana always saw the good in everything and everyone, and the countless stories shared about her, reflect a life filled with love and grace. Deana believed that words matter. To her, a heartfelt card telling someone how you truly feel meant so much more than any present. It was never about material things; it was about connection, sincerity, and making people feel valued. That simple act of expressing love and appreciation was a reflection of her beautiful soul.

Through Mitchell and Sawyer, Deana’s (Nana’s) spirit will live onβ€”in their laughter, their warmth, and the love they share. She was as strong and resilient as they come, choosing life and fighting with courage until the very end.

It was a privilege to know her. Though she now looks down on us from above, this is not goodbye, rather, like the last book she read to Sawyer, her love remains forever in our hearts through an invisible string. “People who love each other are always connected by a very special string, made of love. Even though you can’t see it with your eyes, you can feel it with your heart and know that you are always connected to everyone you love.”

Rest peacefully, Deana. Your light will never fade, and your love will guide us always.

A celebration of Deana’s beautiful life will be held later in the year.
