It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Maria Conceição Da Rocha Leal Gomes on Monday, March 9, 2026 at the age of 87.

Beloved wife of the late Jose De Amorim Gomes (2022).

Loving mother of Abilio (Ana) Gomes, Fernanda Gomes, Fernando (Nicole) Gomes, Carlos (Teresa) Gomes and Jose Manuel (Odete) Gomes.

Cherished Avó of 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by her parents Antonio De Amorim Leal and Maria Erminda Da Rocha and her 4 brothers.

Maria’s family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Burial will take place in Portugal.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
