It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Paul Phillip Gonsalves, who left us peacefully on August 26, 2025, at the age of 69, at home surrounded by his loving family. Paul was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, whose life was marked by kindness, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved.
Paul is survived by his cherished wife, Judy, with whom he shared 50 years of love and companionship. Together, they raised three wonderful sons: Donny, Rennie, and the memory of their late son Andy, whose absence is deeply felt. Paul also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Asha, Neiva, Andreas, Nyla, Austin, Ethan and his great grandchild Atreus. He was a proud grandfather whose love for his grandchildren knew no bounds, always sharing joy, laughter, and wisdom with them. He also leaves behind his loving daughters-in-law, Michelle, Nadine and Erica.
Paul is survived by his siblings: Jaqueline, Anastasia,Lolata, Malanie, Mala, Monica, Ozzy, Leon and his youngest sister whom he also called his daughter Samantha. They all shared a special bond with him. He was predeceased by his parents, Norbert and Sheila Gonsalves, and his dear siblings: Wayne Kandar, Wilfred Gonsalves, Roseanne Ramoutar, and Andrew Gonsalves.
The bond he had with all of his nieces and nephews was remarkable. He always made time to speak to each and every one of them and always kept them near to his heart.
Paul’s legacy of love, strength, and dedication will live on through his family, who take comfort in the many memories of his selfless support, his wisdom, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life. He was a man whose heart was as big as his smile, and whose generosity of spirit touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the many friends and family members who have offered their support during this difficult time.
May Paul rest in peace, surrounded by the love he so generously gave.
