Beloved husband, father, zadie, brother and son . Knew all the backroads, back alleys and main streets of Toronto, driving his cab for over twenty years. Simultaneously cursing and cheering his beloved Blue Jays and Maple Leafs for even longer. Enjoyed golf, bagels at Kiva’s and McDonalds coffee with his chums on Fridays. Excelled at hitting the 7-10 split at bowleramas all across North York. Loved his life, loved his wife and best friend Sharon. Was beloved in turn by his many friends and family. Fred was a perennial loving presence and sturdy, grandfatherly support at birthday parties, simchas and all kinds of dinners at his family’s various homes, or late-night noshes at Wimpy’s. Always there, always smiling, always listening – even if he might not have heard it all. Fred will be missed and his presence will be impossible to replace.
