GRANDMONT, Jeffrey Robert Grandmont

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jeffrey Grandmont on October 23, 2025, at the age of 35 years.

He will be sadly missed by his soulmate and best friend Susie Herbert, daughter Veyda, parents Robert and Sandra, siblings Steven and Kaitlyn (Jeff Auger), nephew Benoit, grandmothers Patricia Grandmont and Doreen Burant, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his grandfathers Roland Grandmont, Anthony Burant, and Uncle Barry Burant.

Jeffrey was involved in scouts in his younger years. He always enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hiking, and going on adventures.

After high school, he was proud of obtaining his Red Seal as a Powerline maintainer/linesman. He worked for Hydro One for 8 years until life took him in a different direction.

He spent many years in the French River area where he immediately made an impression and left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. A man of many talents, there wasn’t a thing he couldn’t build, grow, tinker with or fix. His passion for exploring was boundless and he was fearless in the face of any challenge. He was proud to be a volunteer firefighter in Henvey Inlet. He was an avid angler and marksman and happiest when out in nature. The French River provided the perfect setting for Jeffrey to live and fall in love. A genuine partner, loyal, protective and his support knew no bounds with his soulmate Susie.

Jeffrey had a contagious smirk, heartfelt laugh, and a heart of gold. He will be truly missed by friends and family.

A celebration of life will be held November 17, 2025, from 11:00 – 2:00 at the Days Inn, 50 Brady St. Sudbury, Ontario, P3E 1C8.
