GRAY, Patricia Ann Gray

It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia (Johnston) Gray, age 85, at Etobicoke General Hospital on December 17, 2025.

Pat was born in Toronto on July 17, 1940, third of seven children to Winnifred (Alger) and Ellis Johnston both predeceased 1995 and 1977. She will be missed by her husband Harold of 55 years, son Victor (Elana), grandchildren Alex (Julie), James (Emilia), Eric and Kevin. Predeceased by her son Randy (Csilla), and brothers Ron (Heather) Johnston and Bill (Pat) Johnston. Sister also to Gwen (George, predeceased) Mackie, Bruce (Ruby) Johnston, Marilyn (Bill) McBride and Joanne (Frank, predeceased) Geisler. Aunt to many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews.

Pat prioritized and cherished family and friends. She loved all get-togethers and treasured the regular Johnston gatherings. She, Harold and the kids enjoyed countless fishing trips (mostly successful!) across the province and even on both coasts. They also had many camping adventures including a two-month Canada and USA cross country trip. Pat and Harold were huge dancers for decades and attended frequent dances and enjoyed the ever-growing friendships and fun created within the dancing circles. They mastered square, round, ballroom, and many other dance types, and even went semi-professional for a time doing square dance shows and exhibitions as part of the “Rambling Squares” group.

Per Pat’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place:

Saturday, January 10th at 2pm

Reception will follow in the church hall.

Private family interment will take place at a later date.

Pat’s spirit lives on in every story told, every laugh shared, and every heart she touched.
