Passed away peacefully at Stedman Community Hospice on June 14, 2025, at the age of 79. Beloved husband of 43 years to Vera Griffin (née Casar). Cherished father of Shelley, Sean, the late Tina, and Julianne (Jason).

Roy was a proud grandpa to Brianna (Michael), Tyler, Dylan, Allyson, Katelyn, and Rachel, and great-grandpa to Brooklyn, Mackenzie, and Maddison. He will be deeply missed by extended family members and countless friends.

Roy had an infectious personality, a wicked wit, and a million-dollar smile. His ability to comfort others, share laughter, and offer heartfelt hugs made him a true light to all who knew him.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home in Paris, Ontario. A Celebration of Life will be announced later this week. The service will be live-streamed.
