GRIMM, Leona Grimm

 passed away peacefully with family by her side on November 3, 2025. Born in Owen Sound on July 24, 1948, Leona Carol Grimm (nee Downs) of Williamsford, was in her 78th year.

Beloved wife of the late Andreas Grimm. Loving mother of Stephen Grimm of Guelph, Daniel Grimm (Laura) of Mount Forest, and Benjamin Grimm (Melanie) of Williamsford. Cherished Oma of Jacob, Brianna, Levi, Sarah, Matthew and Anna. Dear sister of Ron Downs (Doreen), Wayne Downs (Mary-Jo), Dave Downs (Sue), Ken Downs (Ruth), Jim Downs (Deborah) and Betty Ann Peterkin (John-Mike). Leona will also be missed by her brother-in-law John Grimm and by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by her parents John and Muriel (nee Gilchrist) Downs.

Visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. A Graveside service to celebrate Leona’s life will be held at Shiloh Cemetery, 316465 Highway 6 Chatsworth, on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 11 a.m.
