GUINDON, Aimé Joseph Guindon

Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Bluewater Health, Aimé Guindon passed away at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Guindon of 56 beautiful years. Loving father of Nicole (Eric) Michaud, Michelle (Jason) Owen, Anthony Guindon, and David (Kristin) Guindon. Cherished grandfather of Madeleine, Philippe, Louise, and Jack. Dear brother of Leo, Elliette, Henriette, Pauline, John, and Roger. Brother-in-law to Sharon McLeod, Mary Joan Johnson, Anne Marie Gillis, Barbara Henry, Charles Stevens, and Monica Holmes-Veitch. Predeceased by his parents Henri and Yvette Guindon and sisters Marcelle and Ghyslaine. Aimé was a devoted husband and father. Family and faith were the cornerstones of his life. After his retirement he cherished spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed many happy days on the golf course with his friends. Aimé was a devoted member of St. Joseph’s Parish for over 50 years and for many years he sang in choir. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home – McKenzie Blundy Chapel, 431 Christina Street N., Sarnia, on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, 293 Stuart St, Sarnia, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Alzheimer’s Society of Sarnia-Lambton (cheques only at the funeral home please).
