GURGIS, Mazen Gurgis

Passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026 at WRH surrounded by his loving family.

Husband and best friend to Likaa Jubo. Beloved father of Lorina Gurgis (Maran Mykal), Ryan Gurgis, Maryann Gurgis, and Christian Gurgis. Adored brother to Majed Hannosh (Kawthar Hannosh), Majeeda Korkis (Amer Korkis), May Hannosh (Viken Hannosh), Joe Hannosh (Baydaa Hannosh), Marvin Hannosh (Maysam Hannosh). Admired brother-in-law and beloved best friend to Linda Idris (Ammar Idris), Luaay Jubo, Layth Jubo, and Gabriel Jubo. Missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends near and far.

Mazen Gurgis was a man whose words always came from the heart. Everything he said – whether advice, laughter, or comfort – was spoken with sincerity and love. He had a rare way of making people feel seen, valued, and at home simply by being himself.

He carried a deep passion for cooking and found joy in feeding others, believing that food was one of the purest expressions of love. No one ever left his table hungry, and no one ever left his presence without feeling cared for. He also had a lifelong love for cars, a passion that reflected his curiosity, dedication, and appreciation for craftsmanship.

Above all else, Mazen’s family was his greatest pride and his highest priority. He lived for them, protected them, and loved them fiercely. He was their strength, their foundation, and their safe place.

Although he lived only 57 years on this earth, the time he shared with us was deeply meaningful and will always be cherished.
