LACROIX, Guy Lacroix

It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing in Sudbury, on Monday, October 27, 2025 at the age of 74 years. Son of the late Séverin and late Lucille (née Trottier) Lacroix. Loving husband of Anne Lacroix (née Vaillancourt). Beloved father of Eric Lacroix (Nicole Fredette) and Sylvain Lacroix. Cherished grandfather of Daxime Lacroix and Kalèm Lacroix. Dear brother of Nicole Hamelin (late Armand), late Ghislaine Lacroix, Marc Lacroix and Ruth Lacroix. Brother-in-law of Yvan Vaillancourt (Lise), Suzanne Potvin (late Rick), Lise Paquin, Diane Daoust (Gilles), late Denise Dunn (Dennis), Marie-Claire Rivest (Raymond), Rémi Vaillancourt (Jacqueline), Michel Vaillancourt (Ginette), Denis Vaillancourt (Nicole) and Aurèl Vaillancourt (Sylvie). Guy will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A deeply devoted father and grandfather, he was wholeheartedly committed to the lives of those he loved. Whether it was giving rides, attending hockey games, or actively participating in family activities, he was a constant, reassuring, and generous presence.

Always ready to lend a helping hand, he was a pillar of strength for his friends and family—a model of kindness and dedication. Even when Parkinson’s entered his life, he never stopped enjoying the simple pleasures of each day: peaceful early morning walks, joyful rounds of golf, cooking, camping, boating… and the small home projects he tackled with passion and care.

His quiet strength and unconditional loveleft a lasting mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, courage, and simplicity that we will carry with us, always.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Roch, along with the compassionate nursesand staff members at Health Sciences North 6th floor South and St-Gabriel’s Villa, for their exceptional care, kindness, and support. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 4691 R.R. 15, Chelmsford, on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Chapel service will take place on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Donations by cheque or online to the Parkinsons Association would be greatly appreciated. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
