GYKSTERHUIS, Cornelia Corrie Dyksterhuis

Died peacefully and on her own terms on December 04, 2025. Corrie blessed us all with her kindness and compassion for 91 years. Corrie will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to her family. Adored daughter of Reijer and Adriaantje Rus (predeceased). Loved sister of Simon (Sam) and Martin Rus (predeceased). Born in Sint Maarten, Netherlands, her family arrived in Canada shortly after WWll.
In 1952 she married John Dyksterhuis (predeceased) and soon began her family. Dear mother of Clarence (Coco), Connie (Dale) and Cary (better known as Gary).
At Corrie’s request, she asked that no funeral or service occur and cremation has taken place.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all the staff at 7 Centre at Oakville Halton Healthcare, who showed phenomenal compassion and caring in her last few weeks of life.
The world will be a little less bright but with one light lost another is lit.
We will miss you Mom and you will always be in our hearts.
