HAFFIE, Tracy Haffie

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Tracy Haffie, who left us peacefully on November 1, 2025, at the age of 63. Tracy was born on March 28, 1962, and lived a life filled with compassion, love, and devotion to her family.

Tracy was the beloved wife of David Haffie, and a proud, devoted mother to her sons Chad (Angie) and Jonathan (Jaclyn). Her greatest joy came from her family, and she cherished every moment spent with her adored grandchildren, Brett and Riley. Tracy was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Annette Boyle (Ivey) and her sister Sharon Shephard (Ken). She is survived by her sister Joanne (Tim) Mangan and aunt Rina, as well as by many cousins, nephews and nieces.

For over 30 years, Tracy dedicated her life to nursing, caring for countless patients with empathy, skill, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. Her kindness and professionalism touched the lives of everyone she met, both inside and outside the hospital.

Outside of her work, Tracy loved to travel and explore new places, always eager for the next adventure. Disney, Lambeau Field and more recently, Palm Springs California were among her favorite locations to visit. She was her sons’ biggest supporter, proudly following their pursuits and passions through every stage of their lives.

We wish to thank all of our new friends met over the last three winters spent at the Palm Springs – Joshua Tree KOA in California.

A special thanks to Melissa of Ont. Health at home as well as Petra and Harley of Bayshore Home Health. Nicole and people of Brockville General Hospital Palliative Care went above and beyond to provide a very compassionate environment for Tracy.

Thanks to Neil & Debbie, Jim & Bonnie and many others within the town who made the last six months much easier to manage.

Tracy’s sons (Chad and Jonathan) would like to acknowledge the unbelievable care and support Dave gave their mother/granny over the past five years. There are no words that can describe the sacrifices and care you provided to make her final years as “normal” as possible. Thank you and we love you.

Tracy’s warmth, laughter, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know her.

A celebration of Tracy’s life will be held November 23 at the Gananoque Curling Club from 1:00 – 4:00.

In lieu of flowers or donations, give your family members a hug and live life to the fullest!
