HALEY, Betty Haley

Entered into rest at Maple View Lodge in Athens on Monday March 2nd, 2026, Betty Jane Haley; age 91 years. Betty was the daughter of the late Richard and Isabel (Haskin) Carl. Predeceased by her husband of 59 years Jim Haley and daughters Donna and Nancy. Also predeceased by brothers Leo, Arnold and Floyd, and sister Rea.

Beloved mother of Roger (Roxanne) and Bob Haley; and grandmother to Ryan (Brooke) and Lindsay Haley. Great grandmother to Tyson, Taylor, Will, Nathan and Lincoln. And sister to Catherine Birtch, Ramona Cirtwell, Gloria Cassell, Wayne and David Carl. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Betty’s heart was always with her family, her church, and helping others. She was the founding Director of the Leeds and Grenville Volunteer Bureau; (now known as the Volunteer Center of St. Lawrence-Rideau); working there until she retired in 1999. She then spent endless summer hours in her beautiful flower gardens.

Family and friends will be received for Visitation at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. E., Brockville, on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. The Funeral Service to Celebrate Betty’s life will be held in the Chapel of the Barclay Funeral Home on Monday March 9th, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Interment Oakland Cemetery.
