HAMILTON, Doris Hamilton

Passed away peacefully at Lee Manor Owen Sound on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Born in Ferndale, Michigan on July 21, 1930, Doris Mina Hamilton (nee Hunt) of Owen Sound, was in her 96th year.

Beloved wife of late Russell James Hamilton (2020) for 69 years. Loving mother of Brenda Hamilton, Janette Baillie (Glen) and Bill Hamilton. Cherished grandma of Emily (Kris), Graeme, Allie, Geoff (Lorena) and Olivia and her great-grandchildren, Lucy and Robin. Doris lovingly guided and cared for her family in her own gentle and steadfast way and will be deeply missed.

Predeceased by her parents William and Olive Hunt (nee Smith), and by her brother Lloyd Hunt (Barbara) and niece Wendy Hunt.

Doris’ family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Lee Manor for the compassionate care and kindness given to Doris and her family.

In keeping with Doris’ wishes, cremation is taking place and a private service will be held. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
