HAMILTON, Wilbert Allan Hamilton

Peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, Wilbert Allan Hamilton, aged 84 years. Beloved husband of Barbara Hamilton (née Knapp).

Dear father of Scott (Christine), Michel (Elena Berezkina), and Shelley (Kevin Manning). Loving grandfather of Jessica, Benjamin, Kasper, Isaac, and Isabelle Hamilton, Carson Fenlong (Karey), and Joshua Fenlong.

Survived by his sister Edna Baker, brother Garnet Hamilton (Evelyn), and aunt Mary Crummy. Also survived by brothers- and sisters-in-law Shirley, Gary (Pat), Carolyn (James) Young, Kathy, Julie, Deborah (Robert McArthur), Joseph, and Michelle Whitmore.

Predeceased by his parents, Stewart and Annie Hamilton, and siblings Gordon (Doris), Marjory (Reg) Saunders, Pat (Margaret), Irene (Leonard) MacMillan, Viola (Joe) Lawson, Lorne (Marie), Charles, Helen (John) Blair, Muriel (John) Wheatley, Elizabeth, Eric (Trudy), and Kenneth (Shirley), as well as brother-in-law Grant Baker.

Wilbert’s cheerful whistling often announced his arrival, a sound of joy and energy that will be dearly missed by his family and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Judson Funeral Home, Athens, on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 2–4 p.m. and 7–9 p.m.

The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 11 a.m.

Interment at Glen Elbe Cemetery will take place at a later date.
