HAMMEL, Grace Tabbert Hammel

Passed away peacefully at her home, with family by her side, on Sunday, September 21, 2025 in her 93rd year.
Grace Tabbert (nee Hammel) of Pembroke, dearly loved wife of 72 years to the late Bill Tabbert. Loving mother of Harold Tabbert (Sheila), Mark Tabbert, Ruth Lehman (Paul), Joan Lehman (David) & Douglas Tabbert. Cherished grandmother of Justin & Alyson; Heidi (Jason), Jamie & Kelsey; Ellen & Daniel; Lauren (Peter); and Logan & Madison; as well as her great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Ferdinand and Alvina Hammel (nee Brasch); and dear sister of Erma O’Connor (late John). Predeceased by sisters Marion Ashick (late Garnet) & Audrey Hamilton (late Reg); and brothers Verner (late Idella), Ellard & Harvey (Irene) Hammel. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation at the Neville Funeral Home, 491 Isabella St., Pembroke on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 2 to 4:00 and 7 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Alice on Friday at 11:00 a.m., with interment in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery.
