HAMMOND, Bradley John Hammond
October 3, 1953 - February 12, 2026It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bradley Hammond on February 12, 2026 at the Port Colborne Hospital. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Becky. Recently having celebrated 50 years of marriage in August 2025. Loving and devoted father of Kathryn Hammond (Scott George), John Hammond (Mandy Sousa), and Andrew Hammond (Michelle Hammond). Brad was the proud grandfather of Brit, Declan, Cayden, Keegan and Wesley. He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Patricia, and his late brother David. He is survived by his siblings Sheridan (Lou) Bagatto, Jane (Bob) Antler, Tracy (Pat) Brennan, and sister-in-law Chris Hammond. He will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews as well as many close lifelong family friends.
Brad graduated from Ohio University in 1975 and then moved back to Canada. He worked as a hospital administrator and as a financial planner. Brad was active in the Kiwanis Club of Welland, served as President of the Welland Curling Club, and volunteered for years as a member of the Regional Fire Buffs Association. Brad was an active member of the Liberal Party and served as constituent president for Gib Parent.
Brad was dedicated to his family and thrived on supporting his children throughout their lives. He proudly attended performances, sporting events and assisted as chaperone for various trips. One of Brad’s passions was planning family vacations where he often acted as tour guide. Countless times family would gather at Lake Panache (Sudbury) and Rehoboth Beach (Delaware) for quality family time and to create special memories. He and Becky were fortunate to travel and cruise to more than thirty countries over the years.
The family would like to give a special thank you to friends and family who have been so helpful and supportive over the last few weeks. We would also like to express our gratitude to the palliative care team at the Port Colborne Hospital.
A private family service was held on February 16th 2026. There will a celebration of life at a later date.
