It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of George “Edward” Hancheruk at the Brantford General Hospital on July 30, 2025, at the age of 88. Born in Ituna, Saskatchewan, Ed was a proud and long-time resident of Brantford, Ontario.
A hardworking and dedicated man, he spent over 50 years as a respected foreman at Massey Ferguson, where his strong work ethic and leadership left a lasting legacy.
Ed was the beloved husband of Shirley Hancheruk (née Perzylo), with whom he shared 61 years of devoted marriage. Together, they raised three loving daughters: Carla Ham (Mike), Karen Hancheruk, and Laura Hancheruk.
Affectionately known as “Mr. Fix It,” Ed could repair just about anything and was always ready to lend a hand. He found great joy in spending time with his family, especially his cherished grandchildren Christine, Kaitlyn, Taylor, and Shianne and his five great-grandchildren: Malakhi, Amelia, Sophia, Christopher, and Bentley.
Ed will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his quiet strength, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family.
