HANSEN , Janet Ann Hansen (nee Eden)

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Janet Ann Hansen, in her 91st year, surrounded by her children on Saturday, August 9, 2025. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her children, Bill Hansen, Diane (Billy) Lance-Fearon, and Jim (Barb) Hansen, her grandchildren Shelley (Mike) Law, Donald (Amy) Lance, Michael (Aasia) Lance, Marnie (Jon) Bailey, Joshua Hansen, Noah Hansen, and great-grandchildren Emily, Marissa, Shanley, Destinie, Ihsaan, Ziyaan, Zarqa, Riley, Jayden, and Nadia. She was predeceased by her husband Earl Hansen, granddaughter Laurie Hansen, and others.

Mom was born in Port Colborne and lived there almost her entire life. She started work at the gas station and restaurant built by her father before working at Robin Hood Flour. She was married for over 54 years and took great pride in her role as a rural mail carrier.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to your local humane society. Cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held at a later date.
