HARKNESS, Thomas William Harkness

Born on December 23, 1937, in Lachine, Quebec passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, in his 88th year.

Beloved husband to the late Barbara (2017), Harkness and devoted father to Terri (late Ian) Morgan, Timothy (Stephanie) Harkness.

Proud doting Grandfather to Dylan (Danielle) Harkness, Brodie (Chelsea) Harkness, Chad (Danielle) Morgan, Riley (Kayla) Morgan. Very special Great Grandfather to Hayes, Grace & Celine.

Born with a natural talent for baseball, Tim rose to the prominence as a professional baseball player from 1956 – 1965, an era remembered as one of the most exciting periods in sports history. He proudly played at the highest level, playing for the

Los Angeles Dodgers & the New York Mets, fulfilling a dream shared by many and achieved by few. He also coached five seasons for the Inter-county Baseball league Toronto Maple Leafs. Along the way, Tim developed into a highly respected scout for the San Diego Padres organization. In 1996 he was honoured with the Canadian Baseball Networks Scout of the Year Award.
