HARMER, Marion Alice Harmer

Passed away peacefully at Livita Centennial Retirement Home in Oshawa, Ontario, just shy of her 96th birthday.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Kenneth Ernest Harmer, and her eldest son, Allan (Susan) Harmer. Devoted mother to Robert John and daughter Allison Harmer. Proud grandmother of Matthew, Jonathan, Carolyn, and Eric; great-grandmother to Alex, Liam, Zoë Harmer, Andrew, Jacob Harmer, Madelyn, Adelaide, and Charlotte Root; and great-great-grandmother to Peyton Rose Harmer.

Marion was also predeceased by her parents, Edward and Alice Blackburn, and her brothers David and Jack Blackburn. She was predeceased by brothers-in-law George (Lorraine) Pearce, Arthur (Barbara) Harmer, Beni (Shirley) Masselli, William Lea, and David Harmer. She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth (Betty) Lea and Marlene Harmer.

Known for her kind heart and joyful spirit, Marion was a talented seamstress who poured love into every stitch. She enjoyed singing in the Church choir and had a deep love for music. Her passion for photography allowed her to preserve cherished family memories, and she found peace and inspiration in nature, especially during time spent up north.

A devoted animal lover, Marion found comfort in the companionship of her pets and the quiet presence of wildlife. She will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and love of life, and will be deeply missed by her family and dear friend, Suier Richardson.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, Oshawa. Visitation will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by the memorial service in the chapel at 10:30 a.m. A reception will follow in the Heritage Room, with a committal service to take place at Union Cemetery.
