HARRISON, Diane Harrison
July 13, 1951 - November 28, 2025
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Diane Harrison (née Lemoyre) at the age of 74 years. She left us unexpectedly on Friday, November 28th, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family.
Beloved wife for 51 years to Thomas Lee Harrison, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and devotion. Loving and supportive mother to Laurie Dewar (Darcy), Christopher Harrison (Tessa) and Nicholas Harrison (Josée). Diane’s gentle spirit lived on through her cherished grandchildren Harrison and Ryan Dewar (Marissa), Brady and Jack Harrison, Caleb and Chloé Harrison, and great-grandchildren Jackson and Benjamin Dewar. Dear sister of Lawrence “Larry” Lemoyre (late Arlene). She will be greatly missed by her two nephews. Diane is predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Doris Lemoyre (née Smith) and by her brother Wayne Lemoyre.
She served her community and took great pride in her years as a devoted school bus driver, caring for every child as though they were her own. She was the steady, gentle center of our lives—a woman whose kindness, strength, and warmth touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She poured her heart into her family, creating a home filled with comfort, laughter, and unwavering support. She was a devoted wife, a guide and constant source of encouragement to her children and brought joy, stories, and tenderness to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be cherished forever by all those who loved her.
Diane’s family warmly invites all family and friends to gather for a time of visitation and remembrance at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888) on Monday, December 8th, 2025 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the City of Cornwall first responders, the Cornwall Community Hospital and the Ottawa Civic Hospital for the great care provided to Diane.
