Passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, at Oshawa Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

A passionate golfer, Rosemary achieved what many dream of, three hole in ones throughout her life. This remarkable feat was a testament to her love of the game, which she joyfully shared with her family.

Known for her creativity, especially in the kitchen, Rosemary took immense pride in her homemade pickles, unparalleled in taste, and her ability to whip up desserts featuring peaches that left everyone wanting more. Her home-cooked meals were a labour of love, bringing family and friends together.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Lakeridge Oshawa and Peterborough Hospital, who provided extraordinary care and support to Rosemary during her visits. Their compassion and attentiveness made a significant difference during her time there.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Simon; her loving sister, Monica; and her mother-in-law, Sylvia. Rosemary also leaves behind her loving sisters-in-law, Jill and Mary-Ann, along with her cherished nephews and nieces: Melinda, Joe (Kate), Mike (Casey), Jaret (Angie), Spencer (Josie), Mackenzie, and Jennifer (Ryan). A great aunt to Mykayla (Dean), Bryant, Kyle, Brock, Zack, Mia, Hunter, and Willa, and a great-great-aunt to Parker, Rosemary’s legacy of love extends through her family.

She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Mary; her father-in-law, Jan; her brother-in-law, David; and her siblings, Cathy, John, and Michael.

Rosemary will be remembered for her kindness, strength, honesty, and unwavering devotion to her family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ICU units at Lakeridge Oshawa Hospital and Peterborough Hospital

The family will hold a celebration of her life over the summer, with details to be arranged and shared with loved ones.
