HEARD, Diane Heard

The family announces with great sorrow her passing at the Golden Manor in Timmins on Friday, October 3, 2025 at the age of 81 years. Beloved mother of Donna Kent (John) of Barrie, Todd Heard (Lois) of Schumacher and Greg Heard of Barrie. Loving grandmother of Brandon (Heidi), Ryan, Josh, Shanna (Jordan), Kaitlyn (Dan), Sydney and Jacob. Cherished great grandmother of Haze, Rhys, Ava, Lily, Allison, Fergus and Blayne. Dear sister of Anna Andrews (Jody) and sister-in-law of Madeline Gelinas. Also left to mourn are her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Laurette and Henri Gelinas and her brothers; Ivan (Lenora), Jerry (Solange) and Claude. Diane had a deep love for sports, especially baseball and hockey. A devoted Blue Jays fan, she was also a great baseball player in her younger years. Diane will also be fondly remembered for her 25 years of dedicated volunteer service at the Kirkland Lake Hospital. A memorial reception will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 in the Miron-Wilson Reception Lounge.
