EMMERSON, Helen (nee Mistr) –

Peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the age of 90 years surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband John Emmerson (Korean War Veteran).

Survived by her beloved daughter Catherine and her husband Jerry Smitka; cherished granddaughters Julie Smitka and Caroline and her husband Ian Evans.

The family wishes to extend its sincere gratitude to the staff at Peel Manor Nursing Home and Brampton Civic Hospital for their care.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Meadowvale Cremation Chapel, 7732 Mavis Road, Brampton, ON, on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 1 p.m. with a burial to follow in the Veteran’s section of the cemetery grounds.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
