HENRY, Arthur Henry

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on December 9th 2025. We share this news with profound sadness and deep gratitude for a life well-lived. Art was the beloved husband of Val Van Camp of Port Perry. He was a deeply loved and loving father of Jayne (Marc), David, Jennifer (Paul), Kristian (Leah), Caitlin (Dan) and Matthew. He was the cherished grandpa of Joshua, Jack, Emily, Ethan, Logan, Eli, Cadia, Lincoln, and Tobin. He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Edna Van Camp of Blackstock, and his brother Glenn, and his wife Donna, of Port Perry. Art will be lovingly remembered by his nephews, extended family, and a wide circle of friends.

Art founded A.H. Van Camp Equipment in Stoney Creek, ON in 1977 and then helped guide the formation of ONTRAC Equipment Services Inc. in 1998, based on his values of dedication, respect, and an unwavering commitment to doing right by his customers. Across the industry, Art was known as “the human Rolodex”, a nickname earned from his remarkable memory for names, faces, and personal details. What truly set him apart was how he used that gift. Whether you were a long-time customer or someone he’d met only once, Art made you feel valued and remembered. In 2019, Art was inducted into the ORBA Hall of Fame, a well-deserved recognition of his lifelong dedication to supporting the construction and roadbuilding communities. His legacy is not defined by buildings or equipment lines, but by the countless people he uplifted, mentored, encouraged, and believed in.
