Passed peacefully with family at his side on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Quinte Health Care North Hastings Hospital at the age of 81. He is survived by his beloved wife, Beryl Lee. Also survived by his sisters Ruth Fee (Stanley) and Elizabeth Watson, and his niece, Rachel (Jonathan), all of Northern Ireland, and his cousin Robert McIlveen (Brenda) of Bobcaygeon.

Herby will be greatly missed by his many, many friends. Herby was an avid gardener and took loving care of the flowers he planted on his property every spring.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Royal Canadian Legion, 2254 Hwy 620, Coe Hill, ON on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from Noon to 2:00 pm.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the ALS Society of Canada or Hospice North Hastings would be appreciated by the family.
