HIBBERT , Aaron Steven Hibbert

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Aaron Steven Hibbert, who left us on August 3, 2025, at the age of 48.

Father to Bhrett (Emily), Broc, Brooklyn, stepfather to Braden (Darcie), brother to Cory (Jessica) and Nicole. Son of the late Steven Hibbert (2024) and Susan Hibbert (Johnson) (2012). Survived by his stepmom Wendie, stepbrother Sean (Sarah) Stafford, Casie (Brent) Nurse, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

A hard-working man with a big heart, Aaron spent his life trying to give his best to his family, his work, and the many friends he made along the way. He faced a long and difficult battle with substance abuse, a struggle he bore as best he could. Though it ultimately claimed his life, it never defined the fullness of his hard-working spirit. Aaron was deeply devoted to those he loved, especially his children, and never stopped striving to be better, to do better, and to care deeply for the people in his life.

As a truck driver and skilled diesel mechanic, Aaron built a reputation for loyalty and grit. He took great pride in his work, and his hands told the story of a lifetime spent as a diesel mechanic. He recently fulfilled a lifelong dream by launching his own mobile repair service, a testament to his determination.

He will be remembered for his big laugh, mischievousness, generosity, and the way he always had time for a friend. He is survived by his loving family and by countless friends and colleagues who were lucky to know him.

A Celebration of Life Open House will be held at the St. Marys Pyramid Recreation Centre, 317 James St. South, St. Marys in the 2/3rd portion of the Community Hall, on September 20, 2025 from 2 – 4 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor his memory by spending time with loved ones, sharing a laugh and being there for someone who needs you. Rest easy, Aaron. You are finally at peace. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home.
