HICKS, Edith Irene Hicks

With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Edith Hicks on November 3, 2025, after 99 years of a wonderful and fulfilling life.

Edith was predeceased by her husband Bill Hicks, her daughter Laurie Forster and grand-daughter Tammy Hicks.

Edith is survived by her son Terry Hicks (Ann) and daughter Betty Styles (Russ), her grandchildren Jason Hicks, Stacia Rippon (Scott), Roy Styles (Tracy), James Styles (Bambi), Nicole Watson (Kelly), Stephen Forster (Mika), 15 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild.

Edith met Bill in 1945 at the age of 19 when Edith, her sister Jean and friend Margaret began a cross-Canada trip beginning in Vancouver. Edith and Bill were married a year later on June 14, 1946 and celebrated 63 years together before Bill passed away in 2009. Edith would finally complete her cross-Canada trip in 1983 with her husband Bill, sister Margaret and her husband Bill. Edith and Bill loved golfing, cruises and travelled to many places around the world. Edith’s perspective on the world and her infectious laugh is what many will remember most. A wonderful sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed.

A service will be held at Schoening Funeral Service in Kamloops, B.C., on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 2 p.m. The service will be live-streamed and can be joined via the link: https://event.forgetmenotceremonies.com/ceremony?c=2753ea66-2af7-43a2-9ee8-65cd037e5b7d
