HILTON, Joyce Gwendolyn Hilton

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Joyce Gwendolyn Hilton on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the age of 93. Joyce has been reunited with the love of her life, Jack, with whom she shared 56 beautiful years together.

She was a devoted mother to Jack Jr. and the late Barbara Hale(Domagala), a cherished Gramma to Richard Domagala, Vanessa Hilton, Michael Domagala, Erica McWilliam(Chris McWilliam), and Tara Domagala, and a proud Great-Gramma to Elizabeth Noel, Liam Ferguson, William Hilton, Joshua Rose, Harrison McWilliam, and Declan McWilliam.

Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Ellen Smith.

Joyce loved her family more than anything and dedicated her life to those around her. She was an active and passionate member of the All Saints Church in Whitby, where she found great purpose and community. Her selfless spirit shone through her many years of involvement with the Whitby Legion, helping to organize luncheons and events, as well as with the Whitby Seniors Centre, where she gave her time generously. She was also a proud Lioness of the Whitby Lions Club, generously dedicating countless hours to volunteer work. She also found joy in learning, especially when taking courses in history and genealogy.

A visitation for Joyce will be held Monday September 15th 2025 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Oshawa Funeral Home, located at 847 King Street West, Oshawa, Ontario – L1J 2L4. A service will take place on Tuesday September 15th at All Saints Church at 1:30pm, located at 300 Dundas Street West, Whitby, Ontario – L1N 2M5 followed by interment at Thornton Cemetery.

In Lieu of Flowers, the family are kindly asking for donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Durham Regional Cancer Centre

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
