She was predeceased by: her spouse Jelle “John” Hoekstra; her son Arnold Hoekstra (Debbie); her siblings, Thomas and Sylvia Teertstra (Yje); and her parents, Jaike and Sytze (Meulen).
She is survived by: her children, Christine Petrovich (late Kresho), Stewart Hoekstra (Barb) and Jennifer Seymour (Dale); and her siblings, Nell Duyzer (late Gerritt), Joe, Meulen (Francis), Evelyn Stammis (late Kas), Charlie, Helen Westerhof (Walter) and Christine Chard (Gary). She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church (18 Fourth Ave, Quinte West, ON K8V5N3). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
If desired, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
