HOMUTH, James Jim Homuth

It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Thursday, December 25, 2025 at the age of 71 years. Cherished husband of Huguette Homuth (nee Rivest). Beloved father of James Homuth (Bryanne Hilts) and Paul Homuth. Proud grandfather of Kensington (Nathanial Good), Kingston, Kwinton and Kerrington Homuth. Dear brother of Iris Laneville (late Robert) and brother-in-law of Marion Homuth, Lise (Bob), Lucie (Bruce), Suzanne (Lorne), Raymond (Brenda) and Lucien (Lucie). Dear uncle of Janet Cayen, Steven Laneville, Lorraine Andrzejewski, Louise Homuth and Theodore Homuth. Jim is predeceased by his parents Bernard and Marie Homuth and his siblings Berna Labine (late Pete), Ted Homuth and Leo Homuth.
Jim was an honoured and longtime member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th degree, legion branch 287. He also worked as a custodian with the DBS 1 for 35 years.
The funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 from the Miron-Wilson Chapel (Father John officiating). Interment at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery to follow. A reception will follow at the Miron-Wilson Funeral Home Reception Centre. In Jim’s memory, remembrance donations to the Timmins Food Bank or the Timmins and District Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
